I have the HoMM3 HD mod, and it works to get the game going at a reasonable resolution, but it also changes the gameplay quite a bit - even if you turn off the 'HD+' option.

There are all sorts of settings in the Tweaks tab/ini file, but there's no explanation of what any of the settings actually do.

Some of them are pretty obvious or easy to find out, like UI.AdvMgr.SkipMapMsgs=1 (turns on and off the messages at fairy circles, etc) but things like UI.ExtScenarioMgr.Settings=0,72,2,2,0,0,2,0,0,0,0,2,1,1,1 are pretty opaque.


Does anyone know where I can find that out? The official site isn't much help to me - though there IS a list of all the tweaks and settings, it's in Russian.

HD+ INI files used to have comments that explained these things, don't know why they removed them in more recent versions.

I've modified mine to be as close to the original gameplay as possible, while keeping the new buttons and bugfixes. You can download it if you'd like. Put it in [Heroes III directory]\_HD3_Data\Settings and overwrite the file you currently have.
