Hello, just wondering on 2 seperate PCs, HOMM3 crashes randomly, seems to do with a mp3 decoder or something. The crash log talks about a mp3dec.asi file or so that causes it.

Its really random, glad I save regularly. =) Anyone know what could be causing this? Thanks.

Find dsound.ini in game folder, edit, set DisableDirectMusic=1
Worked for me.
Thanks! Ill give that a try! =D
I don't see any dsound.ini file there.

Hmm, perhaps GOG version differs from CD one. Try creating it. Mine contains following info:
Buffers=4
Duration=25
MaxVoiceCount=128
DisableDirectMusic=1

The last value was 0 before and the game crashed often but now works ok.
