I tried everything, but i can't launch a game with the HD mod if i install Homm3 in french language.
Is there something i need to do to make it work ? Or i have no choice and i must play in english ?

J'ai beau tout essayer, impossible de lancer une partie avec le mod HD quand mon jeu est en français.
J'ai tenté d'installer le jeu en anglais et là tout fonctionne ...
J'ai surtout envie de jouer à homm3 par nostalgie, du coup l'anglais c'est pas génial, est ce qu'il y a une manipulation à faire pour pouvoir profiter du mod (et surtout du 1920x1080) tout en jouant en français ?

J'ai le même problème aujourd'hui parce que j'ai voulu tâter du heroes avec mon p'tit frère. J'ai essayé avec la vf et ça ne fonctionnait pas alors qu'avec la version en anglais c'est parfait.

J'ai eu une idée : installer le jeu en vf, faire une backup des fichiers, désinstaller, réinstaller en vo, installer hd+, remplacer les fichiers vo par les vf.

Je ne l'ai pas fait parce que pas le temps aujourd'hui mais il y a peut-être une piste à voir par là.

Sinon, j'ai envoyé y'a 2 ans des mails en angais au type qui gère ce mod y'a deux ans et n'ai jamais eu de réponse alors à part se sortir les doigts nous même je en vois pas d'atre solution ^^.

When did you last download the game? In November 2018, GOG released an update specifically for the French version of the game that supposedly fixes HD Mod compatibility by adding a dummy IFC20.dll file. If you don't have this file in the game's directory, update the game through Galaxy or download the latest installer.

I have the IFC20.dll file in my folder, it doesn't work too.

I think it's the same thing for him.

I tried to install it outside C:/ to play with HoA too and the game crash every single time a new map is generated/loaded after pressing the "Begin" button.

Can play in english but the french translation is really nice to me and easier to play in my mother language too ^^

Salut,

Le pb vient effectivement de ce fichier IFC20.dll. Il suffit de faire l'installation une premiere fois en anglais, de mettre ce fichier de côté. Puis de refaire la configuration dans galaxy pour mettre le jeu en français (il reinstallera certains fichiers pour mettre le jeu en FR, mais créera un nouveau fichier IFC20.dll). Il suffira de remplacer ensuite ce "mauvais" fichier IFC20.dll par celui mis de côté lors de l'installation en anglais, et le tour est joué :)

The problem is this IFC20.dll file created during the setup in french. What you have to do is install the game in english, then keep apart this "english version" of the IFC20.dll file. Then go into customize the game trough galaxy to put the game in french. And finally copy the IFC20.dll kept apart over the one installed with the setup in french. And then everything runs fine :p
