Best score I got in a regular map was 393. So too bad the cutoff is already at 228.

Highest possible score in regular map theoretically is 440 (L or XL expert map on impossible done in 1 day), so you must have done something amazing to achieve that... or cheated? :D

Other than that, I think 228 is pretty reasonable for normal, regular game play. :)

Also did Pirate Utopia in 8 day for a score of 431, but then I did cheat, knowing where the Grail was buried.

Mapmakers don't alway set the difficulty correctly, though.

Anyway, I love that the HoMM and Might&Magic games reward using as little in game time as possible. I wish more games would do the same.

By playing on Impossible and try to do things as quickly as possible.
Been a while since I played it, but I see it's a Small user made map by Timothy Duncan and you start with a sizable army (including a dragon) and lots of resources around your castle.
So by hiring another hero to lead the dragon against the magic heavy enemies, and a second to pick up resources, you can finish very quickly. And it looks like the map maker overestimated the difficulty of this map.
Which all makes for a record high score.

In the spirit of holidays
I made a little tool for calculating final score and rating for HOMM2.
Intended use: to check your own progress if you're trying to beat your best
or just validating ones results.

Go figure :)

Feedback and suggestions will be appreciated.

Note: This release is .NET Core 3.1 framework dependent
If you don't feel like installing it or have other problems using it, try this self-contained package instead. Excuse the file size. :)
