Kinda disappointed. The soundtrack is a significant part of the reason why I got the game (half priced, but still).

First of all, the battle soundtracks are missing and there was at least one battle soundtrack I was looking forward to.

Second, except for the Barbarian song, all songs give me an error when I try to play them on Windows Media Player.

Tried re-downloading the album and the problem seems to really be with GOG's version.

I know I'm probably one of the few players who even bother with the soundtracks, but if GOG advertises that the sound track is included with the game, then they should do a proper job of including a working and fairly complete soundtrack with the game.
How did GoG get these old games anyways?

3DO went under in 2003 sadly, so im not sure who they would've contacted for it

also, why arent any of the old ones on steam?

The hell?!

I've had no problems when I downloaded the HOMM1 (or any of the HOMM)soundtracks. I play them using MediaMonkey and on my ipod all the time. hmmmmmmm......maybe GOG's files got corrupted or you're missing some codec?

Thanks for the tip.

I tried playing the tracks using Windows Media player, both because my games are on my Windows partition and because my MP3 player is a Zune.

I'll try from my Linux partition, but frankly, it doesn't make much sense for them not to make their soundtrack Windows Media Player compatible when their game collection is first and foremost Windows compatible.

For corruption on my end, it's doubtful. I downloaded it twice just to make sure.
