Fenrizz666: Unfortunatelly our issue stil exists. The GOG's HoMM 2 for Windows perfectly establishes a Hamachi connection but it still crashes when a host's hero is being attacked. Suppose it depends on a specific map (it happens on edited ,maps only) not on a game client version. Bad luck ...

Personally I think that it is simply a bug that was not caught in development process.
Game exe was compiled from source code in 1996 / 1997 or whatever. After that - no changes. GOG simply re-packaged game and now sells it, so this error should be present in every game copy in existence. Since the source code is not available, this will never be fixed. However, if you're familiar with GL wrapper, then you know that it works wonders. You could try to send save game file to creator of gl wrapper (Verok).
I don't know how this stuff works exactly, but there might be a slim chance, that this error and errors similar to this, could be handled by including some code in dll file. It is worth a shot. That guy is a genius.
