I just read a gog.com review and noticed that there are still people who do not know this.

There was always a Hotseat in Heroes IV. Even day 1.

Online multiplayer was added in later patch but it is also there. Though it requires Gamespy.


Just to let you know, in case you did not.

I know this as I have played hotseat in the past. Thing is that can't find this in latest version in gog.

Found it.

The hotseat function isn't located under the multiplayer function. You can find the hotseat option by clicking on the icon you would choose to start a single player scenario game.
Check the little boxes to the left of "Computer" for each extra player you want. They'll turn into "Player 2", "Player 3", and so on. There should already be one checked for the first "Player".
