Hello,

Thought to go back to this old fun game and play a little. But noticed something that is quite annoying. I have no control to rotate the camera, or zoom (in/out). Both in combat and on the adventure map. I've tried researching on the web and on these forums. Tried a few suggestions, but nothing has worked.

I have tried adding to the exclusions list from the Virus and Threat Protection setting (but there are no options to do so in that tab). Only option for settings links to my current Anti-Virus provider. Which I also added the entire GOG Heroes 5 folder to the exception list there.

I also added the game to the firewall & Network Protection setting tab (both private/public).

It does seem the saves are working fine and linking to My Documents/My Games Heroes 5 - Tribes of the East folder.

Seems ridiculous how could this get untoggled? Making the game near unplayable unfortunately. Starting to regret my purchase of the game now. Any suggestions/Help would be most appreciated. Does the zoom/rotate camera work or has got to the point of working for anyone else?
Works fine for me on Windows 10. Scroll wheel zooms and right mouse button rotates.

There is a camera option in the video and audio settings that says fixed - could that be selected? Mine's set at 'normal'

I had the same problem, and I believe I've found the solution...

Check the Gog game directory profile. On my computer this is C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Heroes of Might and Magic V\profiles. In the default_profile folder, copy input.cfg and input_a1.cfg and paste them under your name profile in your Windows documents: C:\Users\XXXXX\Documents\My Games\Heroes of Might and Magic V\Profiles\XXXXX where your saved games are.
