Your registry is not being updated. Try one of the fixes here:

Or just install the HD mod

is that the russian mod of the expansion or something, i hear the game is great but im afraid to download it due to it not being on a platform like gog or any other alike

The HD mod and the Horn of the Abyss mod are two separate things, but are mutually compatible.
