Originally I thought that the WIn95 version was necessary to play fheroes2, but I've tested and found out that the files in the DATA directory of the main Heroes 2 Gold DOS Version GoG.com version are all you need to play fheroes2. So download HOMM2 Gold here and play some fheroes2, or check out the sourceforge pages! =)
