After playing (and reX12-playing HoMM 3, I was only able to play bits and pieces of Heroes: Chronicles, so I was hoping it came with HoMM3 (though it does not seem to, sadly) If it doesn't, are there any plans to release H:C any time soon?

This version sold on GOG is only Heroes 3 Complete (Restoration of Erathia, Armageddon's Blade and Shadow of Death). So no, Chronicles aren't included. And GOG team didn't announce its coming to GOG, neither they said when (if ever) will they sell it here.

I'd buy Heroes Chronicles definitely! I hope they'll add it at GoG someday. :)

I think Chronicles uses the same engine as HoMM 3?
So you may as well use the HoMM 3 editor. Some excellent maps were made with than editor.
