I just managed to finish Heroes of Might and Magic, but the ending cutscene didn't play for me; instead, after the scenario ended, it skipped right to the score input. Here's what it's supposed to look like:

Also, when I start up the game, it skips the opening cutscene, even if I don't hit anything. Help?

And on a completely unrelated note, I took exactly one more game day to win than this Let's Player did. Huzzah?

*playing; wish I could edit the topic title. Mods? Help with that please?

Congrats! HoMM1 was very tough.

As for cutscenes, could it be a Windows/DOSBox issue. I played the Windows version back in the day, and remember the cutscenes played properly. Maybe they aren't there on the DOS version? I'm only guessing here though.
I played the DOS version with DOSBox a few months ago and the cutscene was definitely there and I just checked the intro scene and it's also there.

Also congrats for your success, it's not trivial. I played with both the warlock and the knight, and playing with the knight is very tough because this title unlike the others is pretty unbalanced.
