Hello!

I am having a problem with HOMM4- when I open a map, any map or scenario, the entire world map is uncovered.

This is due to using a cheat to reveal world map when I got stuck solving the "Beebee and the 3 little pigs" - I gave up and used the cheat to see whether I was missing something.

I played the Beebee map for 2 days, couldn't get anywhere.

But now, all single scenarios and campaign maps are open at the start of the game. I have uninstalled HOMM4 - selected the option to not preserve the saved games folder, deleted the entire HOMM folder ( which I had downloaded from TPB) then I downloaded a new copy, re-installed it and the same thing happens.

I am very sad. Does anyone know what I can do?

Perhaps there was even after deleting the folders some rest in an obscure cache file.

Maybe you could try cleaning the registry and the cache files with the freeware CCleaner. Not sure if it helps, but on the other hand it does not hurt either.

From memory, the cheat that shows the map is a toggle on/off. Using it once shows all maps completely, using it again hides the areas you haven't been to yet.
