I run Windows Vista (all updates and service packs applied), and am only able to run this game with 'Run as administrator' or known as elevated privileges.

Anyone else also experience this phenomenon?

Yes, but this is normal. Amercan Conquest and Cossacks also need to run as administrator. (Same developer)

No problem, but it's always safer to have a game running with the least amount of system privileges. That's what the protected mode is for ;-).
