hello,
when i click on the mod in the menu, i get into the main menu of heretic.
has someone else this issue? the music doesnt seem to change...
other mods seem to work properly...

to me, it was a big failure this remaster don't having a 64 version of Hexen. I love that version.

Has anyone been able to figure this out? There are 2 mods in the mods list and it looks like neither works.

Release Notes

I'm still figuring how to make this work correctly.
For now, download the file and copy it to the game folder ex: (C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Heretic + Hexen)
and rename it to hexen_mus_remix.wad, it will play instead of Andrew's remixed soundtrack. And don't forget to rename the original remix file to hexen_mus_remix.wad.BAK before or you will delete and replace Andrew's soundtrack and will need to redownload it by verifying the game files on Steam if want to use it again. This is until I finally figure how to make it work properly.

Try this instead. Made it myself from the mod for (G)ZDoom.

1. Download.
2. Unpack.
3. Put WAD into %userprofile%\Games\Nightdive Studios\Heretic\
4. Run game.
5. Select the WAD through the mod browser and activate it.
6. ???
7. Enjoy

* Replaces both prerecorded SC-55 and Andrew;s soundtracks regardless to settings.
* Works with the base Hexen game only. Didn't figured out how to use it with DKDC or a new Nightdive's episode. Since the engine doesn't allow to load an extra PWADs correctly in those cases. So, it's probably, still requires altering of the stock WADS.
* Quality of some tracks may be not so good. But that's how it was in the original mods.
* Not sure about volume as well. Looks like ND's tunes sound louder.
* No credits given or taken. Since I've got the original hex64mus.pk3 without description or credits as well. Tell me if you know who's the original author -- I'll add the information into the WADINFO.
* Yes. I intentionally do not upload this file into the Bethesda's "walled garden" of a mod "shop".
