So I wanted to play the enhanced version that came out with my bluetooth headphones and noticed there is no way to change the microphone input. I tried looking into some sort of cfg or do a Windows disable/override in recording and the game refuses to change the microphone. If you're wondering why I'd want to change it, bluetooth headphones reduce the audio quality when you are using them as a headset, so it starts to sound like a GUS card. I'd use the headphone jack if it wasn't for how bad it picks up interference.

Which is why I'm here trying to figure out why disabling the microphone doesn't just stop using the mic... Like... is there even a way I can change the input or the game actually stop using the mic?

I think even source ports let you change the input...

I'm on the same boat, but I ended up disabling the microphone (and just to be sure the hands-free output device) in windows sound settings (the old XP style panel).

This way the game cannot switch to "hands-free" config in any way.
