Hello,

I noticed that you're using gendered language.

Not only does it seem unprofessional and is rejected by about 80% of people,
it's also quite undemocratic.

Please stop doing that!

If someone else's personal politics in the form of gender language hadn't been imposed on me, I wouldn't have complained.

However, since I won't allow myself to be oppressed, I would very much like to ask you to choose an argument you like from the website I've provided, and then I'm ready to answer your questions at any time.

I 100% agree with you on the gender language problem. but this ia a game forum so politics have to stay outside if you don't want this thread to be locked. Anyway, where exactly do they use gender-language? Inside the game?

Gender language isn't used in the game, but here on the German-language GOG shop page.

You're absolutely right that politics has no place in a games forum.

The problem is, unfortunately, that this politics is being presented to me, and I'd prefer to be spared from such a thing.

I doubt that those few on GOG who even still speak German do even realize the problem but if you want them to do something against it you should probably just contact them directly. The game forum is the wrong place and only Germans would even understand what you are talking about. Fwiw - I just signed your linked petition.

Yes, that's the problem with the silent majority, unfortunately.
They let people do almost anything to them.

The problem is that this ideology gets rubbed into everyone's face by a minority in an attempt to re-educate the majority. GOG is no better that any other company that are afraid of consequences if not following suit. However there is no legal obligation by law at all to force this behavior upon everyone. It's usually just done through preemptive obedience to shine in a good light.

The OP is either drunk or a troll. I have the german version and don't see any gendering at all.
So I don't believe, that there is any.
Therefore I'm not against gendering, but in games (and in general) it should be optional, if it's shown in gendered or original text. Also, I don't know any game, where is language gendering, either in written or spoken words.
And now, this thread can be locked, IMO.

Here's my proof that I'm factually correct.

In my opinion, this is a popular tactic to prevent free exchange by asking third parties to close it.

Feel free to gender as much as you want in private, but if it's forced on others, then that's just wrong.
