The main problem of the game is that it takes about 10 minutes to realize what's the catch going to be. Then it's slowly trudging through all the clips that are supposed to "cleverly" reveal glimpses of thruth, except that after that first realization, there is really nothing more to discover. The main "plot" is over very quickly.

anything strange happening in the forum ?

this topic displays a reply count of 13 yet cant see any message aside from op
Yeah, the threads are borked for me as well. :(
Yes, half the threads are broken.

Regarding the OP: Yes, it quickly becomes obvious what happened. I'm currently doing an LP of the game and it took me about 15 minutes to figure out what's going on.

The game is still interesting, but the main mystery was solved quickly.
Mild first 15 minutes of the game spoiler ahead:

There's a recorded statement about who killed Simon and why and it is accessible right from the start by using the search term DEATH, of all things, to find it. Think about it, why would a detective search through videos where a believable witness states exactly what happened with Simon? Boredom? ;)

The real fun and mystery is hidden somewhere else, or at least it was for me, and it isn't solving a case that's obviously been solved for eleven years... :)

Huh, so I did the search for "death". I already found all the clips, just did this to check if that was a viable "shortcut" - the thing is, the clip you're probably referring to isn't about Simon's death at all? As far as I am concerned there are 4 (possibly even 5) deaths mentioned in the game, at least one of which we know was a murder... I agree with your overall sentiment, though, the real fun is in trying to figuring out how everything fits together ;)

I thought I had it pretty much figured out after 10 minutes or so, but then I found another clip, and another one... and so I started rethinking and rechecking... So, definitely worth to continue playing even if you think you have all the answers already ;)
Yes, you're right, for some reason I mixed up "death" with "throat". Sorry :(
The beauty of this game is you think you have an idea of what is happening, but there are many, many pieces of the puzzle to put together. Even when you've gathered everything you possibly can and put it together to build an entire story, you still are left with more to ponder. I read that some of the script had to be condensed for game and time scheduling sake and I almost want to have been able to read the entire story. However, Sam Barlow deliberately left things open for the player to fill in gaps ourselves and simply to wonder about long after playing. I feel that makes the game even more intriguing.
Those first posts got me very irritated. They think they're detective, they think they figured the game in 15min learning who the murder is!

FFS! I learned those in 2min! I have 10h of gameplay!!

Let me tell this to them. The murder was solved by the police 28 years ago! Everybody know she killed him! Everybody!

U don't even know who Hannah and Eve are!! U don't even know who ur character are!!!! U don't deserve to play this game, I hope u did stop playing it after 15min!
