Here is the most likely scenario:
They will keep updating the game for those that already got it, but won't release any DLCs here, so you will never have the complete game.
I'm glad I didn't buy. I won't buy it elsewhere either.

I am glad I bought it when it was discounted, it's a great game and more than worth the money I paid, DLC or not.

I'd hate to have half a game because the other half is behind a DLC that can't be bought.
In this scenario, you will always have half a game in comparison to those that bought the game on Steam.
It's a big turn off for me.

Was this not enough content - available and planned - to spend less that 10 lousy € for, future DLCs or not ?

1 - I should avoid buying games that are "In Development";
2 - companies may promise and not deliver, and may promise and deliver through "previously unplanned" DLCs;
3 - companies may promise to keep the game updated after delisting from the store, then stop updating anyways;
4 - I shouldn't bother buying things because they are about to be delisted, because either the game will return to the store in a better edition, it will not but will be cheap during a Steam sale, or I won't be excited about the game any longer because there are just so many games out there I can't even play what I already have.
I could go on and on. Either the game will be back to the store and I'll buy it, the game will become dirty cheap and then I'll buy it on Steam, or I won't bother at all because there is just something new (or available again) that I'm more interested in.

Well all I can add to this discussions is the last version I downloaded was v0.336 and that according to the digital signature was made around Feb 8 2024. I haven't received and notifications of updates but I checked and there was a new version today it has a digital signature date of April 15 2024. So there has at least been one update though no change log was made nor do I have a way to see what version it matches up to on the steam version as they don't give version numbers but dates there. The best I can guess is that we have the april 11 version listed on steam which is one off from the latest version.
I'll probably just avoid in dev games on GoG from now on. This isn't the first time one that has decided to delist itself from GoG. It's really a shame cause sometimes a game in dev catches your eye (like this one did for me) and it's good to know you can get it drm-free from the start.

At present time, we have version 0.4 with signature 2024-06-12, so it should be equivalent to 2024.06.10.0 on Steam, one update behind the lastest available there (June 15th). Not too bad.
The changelog section of this game has not been updated in months, though.

@allope - Definitely, now the installer version is 0.4352, Exe file signed on 2024-10-05, so we are on par with the current Steam release.

I have not seen an update for this game for quite some time. I do not know if Steam version gets updated, or the dev quit, or the project is abandoned.
Actually, it was one very nice game for its realistic duelling system. Still, I knew it was going south the moment Kubolt or whatever his name is started implementing some HEMA nonsense into a historical setting.
And now this attitude towards many of us who bought the game as early as possible to help support him and the development. What a shame! To delist a game on the best platform, where people come to get rid of corporative DRM nonsense. Money talks, I guess...

If you "do not know if Steam version gets updated, or the dev quit, or the project is abandoned." it means you did not even bother to check the game page on Steam, which takes seconds to do.
