Hello and good morning, or whatever it is where you are,

I am on an Asus ROG laptop, specifically the GL753VE (Signature Edition, whatever that means).
i7-7700HQ
16gb of ram
Nvidia GTX 1050 TI 4gb

What is happening is that the game starts up utterly smooth as glass in any level of graphics setting from very high to low, but then, after a minute or so begins to bog down in a terrible way. The frame rate begins to drop, and the sound begins to stutter and sort of skip until its become unintelligible.
I have tried everything I know how to do from killing background and startup programs, to futzing with the Nvidia control panel but nothing has changed. My computer is up to date as of October 1st (2020 obviously) and I have checked all of my sound drivers as well, Windows says they are peachy.
Again, this happens on all settings, and the odd thing is it runs flawlessly on Very High until the problem begins. Same with low and everything in between.

I hope someone can help with this, its making me.... crazy. And that's not good in this specific game.

Cheers, and thank you very much, even if you cant help.

Same problem happened to me. It sounds like a lot of people get lag/stuttering issues with this game. What helped me was 1) running in fullscreen mode with 2) vsync off in the game, but then in the 3) NVIDIA control panel Vsync is set to "Fast". The game is playable (for me) with these settings, but the FPS is never that stable/good, regardless of the in-game quality settings. My experience is that this game doesn't run well like you would expect, even with the best hardware.

One thing I was told to try was to add lines to Engine.ini for 1) disabling AA, and then 2) disabling postprocessing. I don't suggest this because then the game looks terrible... but also, disabling these didn't fix the problem for me.

Another thing you can tweak is the game settings for frame rate, which are in the file GameUserSettings.ini, on the line:
FrameRateLimit=0.000000
Thank you very much, its driving me nuts and I will have a look at your sugestions!

Cheers!
