This game is a brutally amazing work of avant-garde art from another planet but it's unplayable with the cutscenes skipping so much. It seems like a lot of people on the forum had this problem but I looked through thoroughly and couldn't find a straight answer. I'm on the latest model of Macbook Pro and only downloaded the game a couple days ago, so I would think everything I have would pretty up-to-date. Help?
yes someone please help!
Have you tried messing around with the Graphic Mode Setup?

Otherwise, contact Support. The game is running through DOSBox (or Boxer on Mac, I assume) so there may be a relatively easy fix.

I /think/ I might have fixed this by messing around with the CPU cycles in DOSBox. You can tweak this on the fly by pressing CTRL+f11/f12 a number of times to push the emulated CPU speed up or down, or just change it in the DOSBox config file (though I don't know what an appropriate number would be). Sometimes when it isn't set right (and especially when it is set too high, it seems), the result is skippy audio and/or cutscenes.
