Having almost finished the game I suddenly ran into a fun glitch that I thought would cost me my profile:

Woke up at a new day, looked at the screen which reminded me to pay my fees and... the CONTINUE button wouldn't do anything. All I could do was to Alt+F4. Verified game files, nothing. Game played fine until this point, but suddenly the game was softlocked.

Googled, found others with the same issue, but no clear solutions. Only hints at changing resolutions, but that didn't do anything. Eventually I found what helped me: Changing the "Fullscreen Mode" from "Fullscreen Window" to "Fullscreen" and all the problems went away.

Can't say if this will help everyone with this issue, but it did it for me and I thought I'd share it in case it does. Happy cutting!
