I have ships in the hanger "awaiting orders." How do I send them somewhere? Nothing I try works.

On the galaxy screen, left click on a nearby planetary system and two buttons will appear underneath. Left click on the right button (a picture of a rocketship), then you can assign ships to a fleet, then click on the bottom right button to launch the fleet.
