I was wondering if it is possible to set the resolution higher than 1280 x960. My monitor runs at 1280 x1024 and I would like to run at that level if it was possible.

see widescreen gaming forum for the registry key to set to enable custom resolutions... just be aware that it will stretch the view...
Thanks, I'll try it tomorrow and see how it works.
As far as I know Haegemonia doesn't support wide screen resolutions, 1600x1200 is maximum.
There might me some tweaks on forum posted here by radio_babylon, please let us know if You find any ;)
i can confirm that the registry edit does work for resolutions at least as high as 1680x1050... however i changed the resolution back to one of the 4:3 resolutions... id rather have the black bars on the sides than the distortion... some games it doesnt bug me so much, but its really really obvious that the planets (and radar circles and anything else round) are squished/stretched something awful...
I can't get a higher resolution option than 1280*960 from the options screen in game. My screen's max is 1280*1024, but I"m short a few hundred pixels. any idea how the bosses got the max to 1600*1200?

the manual says the 1600x1200 option only shows up if you have a video card with >64mb ram... could that be it?
I have an HD4850 so I think I more than meet that requirement.
My computer says it supports 512 mb of memory.
You can chose a 1600x1200 resolution only if your monitor supports one,
1280x960 if probably the highest, non-widescreen, resolution available for your display.
If there's no way to get a good resolution increase is there any way to force the game to run in windowed mode?
you need to play at 800x600 or a bunch of tech will be missing from your research window and cannot be researched.

I concur with you mate.

while having a 24'' widescreen, playing at 1600x1200 was liveable, but having to lower down to 800x600 due to the games' poorly done interface? it really is putting me off of playing the game completely if no one can fix the problem.
Is there a command to use windowed mode in the game?

WIth a 30" (2560x1600 resolution) monitor I've been able to set the in-game resolution to 2048x1536 via the registry settings. However entering the Options menu resets this to 800x600 (whether any chance is made or not) so I've had to use System Safety Monitor (WinXP security software) to block any subsequent changes to those registry keys.
