Hola,

Just saw this and figured I'd pick it up since it seems interesting. Got everything downloaded and now I've hit an issue. Launching the game (in any manner) does nothing. From GOGGalaxy, from the start menu, from the folder, from the CLI. I get absolutely no activity from the program, not even an error message.

Relevant stats:
Core2Duo Extreme
Windows 7 Ultimate 64
8 GB of RAM
nVidia sound (and chipset)
DX11 is installed
ATi Radeon 7770 with 4 GB RAM
Sony 43" (?? been a while) flat screen TV.

It's an older system but to my knowledge it checks out.

I needed the XNA Framework Redistributable 4.0; I found a download for it in another thread here. I'd share the link directly, but apparently I'm not allowed. :-)

Installing XNA Framework Redistributable 4.0 fixed the issue for me, too.

Well, that sort of solved the issue. Now the screen changes while the game attempts to load, then CTDs with no error message.


[Edit number dos: nevermind, relaunching the game allowed it to come up.]

The XNA 4.0 redist fixed this problem for me. It can be found someplace like this:

C:\Program Files (x86)\GalaxyClient\Games\Hacknet\__redist\XNA_40\xnafx40_redist.msi
