korell: Oh well, odd that it says it works on the Steam version but then doesn't work on the GOG version, as you'd expect them both to be the latest version executable considering the game is from 2005.

I just read the Gun entry on the WSGF (Widescreen Gaming Forum) site. There are registry entries that can be edited for the screen resolution, so that can be done. However, the result is a stretching of the screen, not showing additional display, so for me that is worse than just playing it pillarboxed for the original 4:3 screen ratio.
I found this information out myself yesterday as well. I was able to set the game to 2560x1600 successfully via the registry and the game works but is stretched, however it is no more stretched that the game's built in 4:3-only modes, just stretched in software rather than in the monitor scaling. It is playable like this but definitely having proper widescreen support would be better.

I have not yet tried the 3rd party hack yet but I downloaded it yesterday as well. Sounds like at least a few of you got it to work so that is promising. I'll have to wait and try that another time though.

Apparently the author of the fix has updated it to work for both Steam and GOG now, so that should work for you now.

Ya, I didn't try it yet but sounds like it should work. I did play the game a bit tonight though, not sure why I didn't try it out. I didn't plan on playing though it just kind of happened. :)

That guy has a zillion fixes for various games and I own like half of them, so looking forward to some of the other hacks too.

MarkoH01: I can confirm this because it was me who asked them to look into the GOG issue and today he told me that it is fixed which in fact is the case :)

I actually don't remember how I did it. :P
The fix doesn't work on mine. I got an .ini file instead of a .cfg file, and when the fix is used the UI gets pushed to the left side of the screen.

It works move the 3 files in scripts to your folder. Put your resolution in the X Y fields in the ini file and save. I'm still trying to get more than 30 fps though.
I didn't explain that right. The zip file has a dll and a script folder. put the dll and everything from inside the script folder in your game directory with the gun exe.
