So did you guys manage to fix the sound bug in XP that would cause ... something bad to happen on the briefing screens? Not that I don't trust you, I just remember the old GC forums saying it was something along the lines of impossible to fix :P

Easily solved, if GOG haven't already. Run the game in Windows 98 compatibility mode to fix the sound skipping.

I've been playing it this evening and the sound bug is gone. Compat mode for 98 didn't work with me on the original, but the GOG version works fine! :D (Vista x64)

Same deal on XP, even without compat mode its happened maybe twice in the last 20 missions, so.
