hi to all ,

i have a strange problem regarding framerate in gc2...

the 1st singleplayer mission play smooth without problems.. 60 fps all the time..

but when i begin the second mission , the framerate drop to 40 , 30 fps!!

why is framerate so unstable ??

win7 64bit , core2duo, 4g ram , geforce gt240m all drivers are up to date...

thanks in advance!!

It mite be because of the huge amounts of trees and enemy units running amok. I just bought this game today and well I haven't had any problems so far. When I get new games I normally turn down the graphics down to find a really good balance of graphics and performance. By the way I have a pretty old computer. :D

I'll give you a tip, turn down or turn off the shadows in the game. It always works for me.

Hi there ! I had the same framerate problem before. I noticed that my CPU and Graphic Card fan was all dusty; hadn't been cleaned for 2 years. But I always kept my CPU case open so air could come in, since I only have a few fans for my desktop.

I cleaned up my CPU fan and Graphic Card fans and I tried playing Ground Control 2 again and its performance is smooth and no problems so far. It also works my other applications that was slowed down.

I think it has something to do with the heat generated because of the piled up dust. This might work for you. Good luck and make sure you clean it with a decent brush :)
