Here are a few tips for anyone else hoping to run this game on Linux.
* You must install DirectMusic in order to move the mouse.
* Create a virtual desktop of resolution 1024x768. Otherwise the game will execute full screen and crash if you attempt to switch to a different application.
* Don't bother with the visual scaling options. The game will crash if you select a resolution that is too high, and performance suffers in any case.
I'm still investigating a few issues:
* no music
* UI stutters when I close popup windows such as the character screen, shared inventory, or map.
