Please reassure me. On 2/19 I purchased a new macbook pro, and the first thing I did after setup was install this game because yay. It had a couple of glitchy moments; it crashed the machine once. Then after I drove the forklift into the elevator, it crashed hard and I could never boot the machine back up. Today I'm typing on my new new mac, because the diagnostics at the Apple store wouldn't even run on that one. The Genius told me it couldn't have been the game, and yet -- I'd really like someone running Yosemite on a Macbook Pro to tell me the game works fine and that first machine was just a lemon and would've died anyway.
I am running Yosemite on a MacBook Air and it works fine. It does make my fan start up though.

It was your machine. There's no way the game could have had anything to do with these hardware problems.
The problems you had were because of the hardware and not the other way around.
Anyone tried upgrading to a newer release yet? Are saved games preserved?

Thanks!

Yes saved games are preserved. I used the GOG client and no issues with playing, game saves, and settings.
