It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me with this. I tried installing Grim Fandango and got error messages. One appeared near the end of the installation (attached photo - error.jpg), clicked OK, and then it says the game installed successfully, and when I clicked Launch, another error appears (error2.jpg).

I tried putting all the installers in a separate folder, disabling User Account Control, and running as administrator, as I've seen advised in the support page, but the same thing happens. What can I do to fix this?

I got your first error and based on your later error I found this support article https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004465889-Missing-DLL-files-mfc140u-dll-msvcp140-dll-mfc110u-dll-msvcp110-dll-mfc100u-dll-msvcp100-dll-mfc90u-dll-msvcp90-dll-mfc80u-dll-msvcp80-dll-and-similar but found it to the same file as I already had in the temp directory so I downloaded as the missing setup file (added _2010 to filename). This satisfied what the installation was looking for and my game seems to be running correctly now.
