Spoiler warning in this post - Don't really think it might be necessary, but we all have different levels of spoilers sensibility..Keys: Been replaying it lately and having a lot of fun. :)
Impressed with Ashes of Malmouth.
Map is annoying to navigate full of enemies and really test your build on higher difficulties, which is good for me.
Hope the new expansion is as good as this was!
MedeaFleecestealer: Hope you have the Forgotten Gods expansion as well because Fangs of Asterkarn will require you to have both expansions to be able to play it.
Oh, yes I do. Loving it too. First time playing through it.
One thing I noticed is that Crate clearly got better and more experienced in gameplay design, mechanics and story explanation/writing through each update. Base game has some really good lore already, Ashes of Malmouth lore is amazing and Forgotten Gods is on another level.
Though I personally prefer the lore focus of Ashes of Malmouth (humanity learning to work together to fight against things they don't even understand, despite their personal visions and methods), I can understand and respect their vision with the Forgotten Gods story/lore (The Ancient Gods/Beings fighting over Cairn lore which began in the end of Ashes of Malmouth).
A risk to expand the lore that much, but it does makes sense and that's why I understand and respect it!
I'm curious to see what they've cooked for the end of Forgotten Gods (I just started it) and what they're cooking for Fangs of Asterkarn. Hoping they can deliver because the stakes are REALLY high. :)
While I understand most people play ARPGs for the grind and builds, I did enjoy Grim Dawn story/lore that much.
