Who was the genius that decided to have an unkillable enemy spawn? Yeah, just heal constantly & continuously spams poison bombs & if you move to avoid them you can't even attack so it continues healing. Idiotic design on par with Gearbox. Alt+ F4'd the game.

Then trying to find these fucking forums just to post meant that I had to go through the store page, but not through the shitty new GOG client, nope why the fuck would anyone think that's logical?! I had to access the forums via a browser. Never will I be buying anything from this shit show ever again. This is what happens when boomers are in charge.

Anyway, back to Grim Dawn. Fix this stupid enemy design. This game used to be good - one of my favourites, but not with this bullshit. (oh & where's the option for British English dictionary spelling? It's as bad as Steam). Thought I'd have fun playing a few hours of this game, but instead ended up here after 'hunt the forum' mini game.

I give this platform 3-5 years until SHTF after everyone's finished masturbating over cyberpunk. GOG Galaxy on a collision course with the sun.

Fix the the unkillable infinite healing bullshit spamming enemy that spawns from one of those tree root things in the second area across the bridge. Reduce poison bomb spam speed, remove infinite healing. It's broken.

Got a bit of rage there.

Sounds like you just need to boost your poison resists -- success in Grim Dawn is all about creating a balanced build.

Like many others, I've never even bothered to install Galaxy, nor do I intend to. From the beginning GOG has labeled Galaxy an optional client with additional features (for people who dig that kind of nonsense). The site has always been the core.

So... not sorry you had to go through the concerted effort of opening a web browser like the rest of us plebs. I don't intend to offend, but c'mon. It's a web forum. What's the complaint here?

Not sure the community's all that jazzed or focused on Cyberpunk... certainly not up my alley. But GOG (sans Galaxy) is an awesome platform. It's the best [mostly] DRM-free gaming resource available, and I don't see the demand for that going away any time soon.

I guess what I'm saying is, "take a chill pill, man"... we're all just gamers trying to have a good time. The GOG forums tend to be a pretty laid back place. If Grim Dawn's not up your alley anymore, there are plenty of other games to enjoy, and around which to formulate a more productive line of conversation.

Without knowing which monster you're talking about it's difficult to give you advice, but yes boost poison resist for a start. What type of character are you playing as well? Use grimtools to post your build here. To upload your character to https://www.grimtools.com/calc/ click the 'up arrow' button in the upper-lefthand corner. Navigate to where your save folder is on GOG if you use cloud saving.

Otherwise for local saves it will be in \Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\save\main\_{character name}\player.gdc

Then click on the icon below the arrow and copy the link shown to paste here.

As for British English - really? The game is made by an American company and I seriously doubt any game gives you that option.

Yeah it rapidly built up during the "hunt the forum" mini game, before posting.

I'll try to explain again. It's not the poison resistance that I'm having a problem with.

The problem is this specific enemy type spamming poison bombs constantly at such a rate that I'm unable to avoid then attack before being either hit or having to move again, meaning I can't attack. On top of that bullshit, this enemy then constantly regens health so trying to damage it is near impossible let alone killing it. It spawned from one of those tree root things. It is completely broken. (on par with something Gearbox would crap out). It has nothing to do with resistances on my character - this particular enemy can't be damaged faster than it heals while damaging me at the same time. (yes, if I just stood there I'd eventually die, obviously). It needs fixing or removing because it's design is idiotic bullshit.

I think I'm gonna have to see if I can revert back to the original client or remove it entirely. I appreciate the suggestion of using Grimtools & explaining how to post my build, but that isn't the problem. I stated the problem again in a (hopefully) clearer way above in my other post reply.

The "British English" was meant for this forum not Grim Dawn lol because when I was typing I spelt "Favourites" instead of how the forum wants me to like this: "Favorites" (no red underline - as if it's 'incorrect')

Oh & there's yet another example of this forum's dictionary spellcheck being WRONG - "SPELT" is a word used in British English, it is not incorrect. It IS a word ffs.

If you can't handle the mob then just walk away from it and consider the fact that your DPS is probably "not good". You need to have decent DPS to take that guy down as quickly as possible as well as be able to use your brain to outwit the situation. You do have a brain, correct? Your poor usage and understanding of the word "boomer" makes that highly doubtful tho.

He's a random Hero mob spawn and quite frankly I can't remember the last time I wasn't able to kill him. That isn't the forum giving you that redline... that's your web browsers settings doing that. Surprised a non-boomer doesn't know that yet.

You know you can just ignore the spelling thing, right? If you want to use British English (as I do) then just ignore what it says needs correcting. Easy peasy. Alternatively, see if you browser has an option to change to British English.

The term "mob" typically refers to any hostile non-player character.
Sure, they're being a troll, but their use of "mob" is correct. ;) Also correct. Grim Dawn is perfectly happy to let you walk into (or throw you into) enemies you can't handle. In such cases, just walk away until you've leveled a bit or re-spec your character and then come back to it. And yeah, the red lines are generated by your browser's spelling and grammar options. You can disable it entirely if, for some reason, your browser doesn't support British English (sometimes labeled in short form as "en_GB").

Oh, and... don't feed the trolls ;) Knowing your build actually would be pretty helpful.

Also, if you can provide a better description of the enemy in question (especially if it actually is a random spawn), or provides a screen shot or a link to the matching entry in the GrimTools Monster Database that would certainly help us help you.

Note: you'll be pleased to know one of the co-founders of GOG is only 46 years old, which puts him just outside of boomer range. Plus he's Polish so not too sure the boomer tag generally gets applied outside the US. He is rich tho, so I suppose you could hate him for that if you like.

Yes, i think I had a similar enemy. It was gone once I started playing again. Hopefully the next time it appears, "Crate" will have balanced it so it's no longer a problem in future.

No, I was able to kill everything else just fine. No enemy should be healing more than the damage being done to them while constantly spamming poison bombs. Playing ranged at the time but now switched to melee. My gear, etc is completely different so no point trying to explain anything now.

Wrong. This means that your DPS wasn't up to the task of handling THIS particular enemy. I have a pretty good idea exactly which poison Hero you are referring to. There aren't many like it. It is quite beatable. I kill it all the time whenever it spawns for me. Is it challenging? Sure. But it's not impossible.

Learn how to get your DPS up. It's that simple. End of story.

If it is about dps, why then Crate has balanced the game so we can play it further?
Devs saw late there was a problem and corrected it, but balance and kill bugs is long to achieve perfectly.
Often players telling the games are easy are using exploits, while honests and scrupulous players are mocked.
