I've put a fair amount of hours into GD on GOG, but it still says I've only played for 3 hours, 11 minutes. It's not updating playtime as it should. Anyone else gettting this problem?

Usually this kind of problem are related with the internet connection or a bad start of the game, for example that the game starts but is minimized in the taskbar and you have to click there to start it, or thing like that. Try to restart the GOG client, or even the whole computer, usually you can resolves it this way. The game update the playtime fine, as it should do, so if it keeps happening to you, you might have a problem with your computer and GOG, dunno.
No, what it is is that GOG Galaxy doesn't fire up automatically when I click on the GD shortcut icon. When I play Titan Quest Anniversary Edition Galaxy starts up automatically before launching the game, but doesn't do so for Grim Dawn. I have to manually start Galaxy and then launch the game. It then records my playtime and updates.

Create a new shortcut with: "GALAXYPATH\GalaxyClient.exe" /command=runGame /gameId=1449651388 /path="GAMEPATH"

For GALAXYPATH write the path you installed Galaxyto, For GAMEPATH write the path you installed the game to
Thanks hohiro. Where would I write that shortcut? And where would I put the path for Galaxy in that line? Does it come after the command or is it the gameld? Totally useless at this sort of thing, sorry.

The shortcut (Verknüpfung) is the Icon you doubleclick to start Grim Dawn. Better copy it, before messing around, then rightclick on the copy of it. In Target (Ziel) enter the line I pasted. If you installed Galaxy to the defauult location it is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\GalaxyClient.exe" and then the rest, everything in the Target field.
No, I must be doing something wrong hohiro. This is what I get.

Yes you miss spaces and probably misplaced " ;), giving you the correct syntax:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\\GalaxyClient.exe" /command=runGame /gameId=1449651388 /path="C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\games\grim dawn"

This should be the exact syntax for you, hope i didnt make typos ;)

PS: In "Start in" field, better put: "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy" because you start Gog Galaxy with your shortcut and Galaxy starts GD

Did you copy and paste my text, the "" at the right place are NEEDED:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\\GalaxyClient.exe" /command=runGame /gameId=1449651388 /path="C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\games\grim dawn"

edit: and you used grim dawn.exe instead galaxyclient.exe

edit2: To make it more clear, the first "" launches GALAXY, with rungame and gameid, we tell Galaxy to launch Grim Dawn and the Path in the end just tells Galaxy where the path to Grim Dawn is. You do NOT need to enter Grim Dawn.exe somewhere in the shortcut, just copy and paste from last post, this should work for you if i didnt do a typo or your config is "non standard"

1) You put everywhere " \ " (backslash) while in command line a lot of commands is in " / " (slash) Which is totally different thing for a system
2) Either Your Galaxy is installed in another folder/hd
3) Either your game is installed in another folder
hohiro, getting close now. I did have some errors in transferring the paths - missed some of the quotes. GOG's system won't allow me to copy/paste so I had to type it all in the relevant windows. Now it will launch Galaxy, but it only takes me to my library page - it doesn't launch Grim Dawn itself. That's just putting the Galaxy info in the Start section, nothing about GD.

Skaldzien, the Galaxy and game are installed exactly as they should be. I used the default locations for both when installing.

Use the website instead of Galaxy for forums and you can copy and paste ;)

/command=runGame /gameId=1449651388 launches Grim Dawn ;) you probably have \ instead of /
FINALLY! Copying and pasting has done the trick hohiro. Thank you. It now fires up Galaxy and then launches Grim Dawn. I must have been missing some tiny little thing, though only the GD gods know what it may have been. Again thanks.
