I've just discovered that if you use mods in Greedfall Gold then you can't access the De Vespe Conspiracy DLC.

Absolutely fuming about this as I've put weeks into this game and have finally reached the point where the DLC can be activated only for a screen to come up that says I need to buy the DLC. It seems that this is a common problem (according to quite a few threads over at Steam) and the only solution seems to be restarting the game again with no mods installed. Wished I'd known this sooner :(

Anyway, a long shot but I'm hoping that someone here may have a solution because as much as I'm enjoying the game I'm not restarting this late into it.

Thanks in advance for any possible solutions :)

Not a fix however Patrus, Kurt, Vasco and Afra all comment on the De Vespe family after you get the letter in my game. BUT and a big but at that, when you go to speak to Lady Morange there is absolutely no mention of the De Vespe's arrival on the island in her conversation so I think that there is a "trigger" missing to start the quest (possibly because of the Speak Your Mind mod)

Yes, that is what made me so cross. Like you say, missing a trigger so no way around it :(

Hey man,

Just wanted to let you know I figured out a way to get the trigger to happen since I'm also playing this game with mods. You can temporarily move the mods to your desktop or whatever then start the game back up and the trigger for the quest should pop up. Then save and quit once you trigger the quest then put the mods back in the folder. I didnt have the buy dlc screen like you though, I just didn't get the trigger for it (Lady Morange mentioning the quest).

Idk what mods you were playing with so it may or may not mess your game up. So I would be A LOT more careful than I was and backup some saves etc just in case. I didn't play with any complicated mods so nothing happened for me. But yeah, I didn't have to restart the game to do it.

It's been a while so you're probably past this problem by now lol. But I figured id tell you what worked for me. Hopefully it works if youre still having this problem.
