Has anyone run across a case of mysteriously missing NPCs in this game? I am playing day 2 and more than half of NPCs have been invisible in my game so far, including the rabbit and the cook, Mephistopheles, all of the students and the guard in the center of Oxford, and the creepy movie "director" in the quad. I am able to interact with these characters; they're clickable. And I can find them easily since I can see their shadows and locate their hotspots with the space bar. But they are completely invisible. Some of the other graphics are also wonky. Most characters have translucent faces that allow me to see inside of their heads.

These issues seem particularly odd since I set the graphics to run at the highest possible quality on the program's first run.

Everything else seems fine. The game runs quickly and smoothly, and I've been able to play for several hours without crashes or additional glitches.

Any ideas?

Try to update GPU drivers.

Thanks for the suggestion, triock. Unfortunately, the updates for my GPU are not compatible with my current OS, so I'm unable to test your fix.

At least the invisible characters work well atmospherically in a gothic game that focuses a lot on magic. ;-)
