We’d like to inform you that Grandia II Anniversary Edition will be delisted from our catalog on Wednesday, June 17th, 10am UTC.

For everyone who purchased these titles prior to delisting, they will remain in their GOG library.
Is this a prelude to getting the "HD remaster" versions? Or should everyone who doesn't own it yet buy it now? I guess it doesn't really matter to me, since I played it on the DC and have owned this version for a while now. I'm still not sure that reflections aren't broken in the PC version.

edit: guess I should've posted in the general forum thread. Oh well. Nothing useful to add, anyway.

and you couldnt have announced it when it was still on sale? wow...
Wait so this was announced like a couple days prior to the delisting? That's kinda fucked.
Thanks for nothing, no wonder people still sail the seven seas when GOG should be combating this.
What the hell? Why it was delisted? >:(
goddamn. i hope it's coming back. already sold my CDs because i wanted to get the gog version in near future anyway, just to find out that i'm too late now :(
If this had been delisted so we could buy the remasters instead I would give it a pass.

As it stands, wdespite owning this, their refusal to sell us the remasters and now them pulling this for people who don't already own it...

You're burnt, I have my old copy, forget your remaster both on PC and on Switch wehre I probably would have bought it again after getting it via GOG.

I still have the PSX and PS2 discs for Grandia 1 & 2, I can play those without issue, and I was planning to buy both these games when they were ported at lest here and possible in pocketable form on Switch as well.
Well darn. I held off too long. I liked the anniversary edition. I was just happy to get a pc version of Grandia 2 based on the Dreamcast version. I didn't need any other fancy bells or whistles. Then i heard of the HD remasters and wondered why those were coming out so soon after the anniversary edition. And then i heard of the Grandia one fumbles. That turned me off getting the entire set.

Out of curiosity for anyone who has both versions, what are the main differences between the Anniversary Edition, and the HD Remaster of G2? Does the remaster (re)introduce any bugs or glitches that weren't already in the Anniversary edition?

I'd also love to know this also.
