I just started and I read some walk through that tells where to find a "bone bow" fast.
I don't want a bone bow but what I really want to know is where is the first possible place I can legitimately find a bow without skipping around. The searching is killing me.
I would have thought Mordrag would have one but he doesn't.

I bought a Crossbow, but I still need 1 Dexterity Point in order to be able to use it.
I am not sure where to find a bow though as I am just at the front edge of the game as well.

I'd say the fastest way is the head out of the Old Camp toward the New Camp (that's west if you have a map). Along the way you'll find two little huts, I forget which one sells bows but one of them does (one teaches sneaking and something else, the other skinning and sells bows). I think that's the fastest way to get one as I don't think anyone inside the Old Camp sells them. The map isn't that big so it shouldn't take too long to find them, but you might have to do a little running away from baddies to get there until you level a bit (they're low level monsters, but starting out low level monsters hurt)
