Hello there.

I replay Gothic 1 + 2 quite often, and enabling alt tab is usually a fairly straight forward process (remove the GOG.com Gothic entry in Programs and Features tends to be sufficient). However, this time there is no such entry, and the G2 desktop short cut now points directly to systems/Gothic2.exe instead of the launcher. What's going on? Did GOG.com change something recently?

As it is, I just can't get it to work. The only G2 entry is the regular one (uninstalling it will uninstall the game - I tried), and even setting it to windowed (zStartupWindowed=1) doesn't do anything in terms of Windows hotkeys (alt tab, alt esc, alt F4, alt space N, windows + D, windows + arrow down, and so on and so forth - nothing works).

I should point out that this is on a Win 7 laptop I use for traveling, and I haven't tried re-producing it on my Win 8 machines.

Anyone have a clue as to what's going on? Why isn't the entry showing up? The GOG "fixer" certainly seems to still be in place, so it doesn't appear as if GOG actually removed it.

I'd love to get some feedback on this, as I'm pretty much baffled at the moment.
Just a wild guess: maybe it's related to Galaxy updates / changes to the library?

Could be, yeah. I managed to semi solve it by using windowed mode in combination with ctrl + alt + tab, which is a slightly different form of alt + tab (the tab line stays, so you can navigate it with left/right, press enter to select the given tab etc).

By the way, how many Gothic 2 entries do you have in the list of installed programs (control panel)?
