I know some enemies spawn after the turn of a chapter.

Question: When enemies spawn like this, do they REPLACE enemies, or are they ADDED to them?

In other words, do I lose potential experience by letting some enemies live as a chapter turns?

I ask this because I have completionist tendencies and I find myself trying to do ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING I can do before I progress, which is actually a habit I've been trying to break recently.

They are added. So you don't need to worry about losing XP.

PS. I am glad to see another person with such passion for Gothic. I've been playing the game for more than a decade, and while I'm not a Gothic guru, I'm glad I can help a person who's happy to play it.

:D Me too! I was kind of worried when I saw the World of Gothic forum apparently shut down, and the Steam forums are a joke...

It's really good to know there are still people who I can talk with about a great game series that many people nowdays don't know about.

Back to the question- that's REALLY helpful to know! I'm definitely going to be pacing myself a bit more from now on :D

RE: "World of Gothic": The German section is still open and it was said that they would be transferring the English section there (more or less). Supposedly, questions there in English will be replied to in English. Fishing thru it for English doesn't appeal to me so I have not verified this but the powers that be there did state this.

Making an account/trying to get my account to work in German sounds rather difficult xO

Maybe I could somehow request someone to ask the website owners to add an additional few lines for English-speakers? :D

They probably haven't thought of that difficulty. They said they did it because of too little use but I've seen sites with far less use still being active. Methinks the moderators just didn't feel like moderating any more. Since they are no longer accepting posts at the English site (old posts are still there and readable, ie, its archived), I have no idea how to contact any of the powers that be there without some fluency in German.

Okay, I know we covered this on the basics. But I've come across 2 enemies that only respawn if you've already killed them.

Specifically, plot-obstacle monsters.

1 - Troll where you fight Diego (you can beat him before Diego meets you there)

2 - Stone Golem on the Bridge to the old Fortress (or whatever it is)
