According to what I've read this is supposed to be triggered when I meet Gorn on the way into the Free Mine; he tells me to see Wolf and Wolf gives me the quest. Alas nothing is happening, no trigger, and no mention of Wolf wanting to see me. I'm guessing I might have missed something early on. Any ideas, and is this armor SUPER BAD as in there is no point going on without it?

EDIT
I GOT IT! He was playing hard to get, prick. You actually have to accept the key and start walking to the mine entrance before he stops you and says, "Oh, by the way..."

I"m at the same spot in the game and riordan told me gorn want to see me on the road to the free mine but he is nowhere to be found, can you tell me where he is on the road, or maybe my quest is broken i dunno

Are you actually looking for Gorn?
If so, are you taking the correct road? That isn't an insult, I did that the first time. You don't leave the camp to get to the Free Mine, the road to it is somewhere around the back of the camp going up hill through some boulders.

As you exit New Camp cave, turn left, and walk past Cord (one-handed weapons trainer). You should find Gorn near other mercenaries just ahead.
