Hi everyone, I have recently bought Gothic 3 but unfortunately the game is virtually unplayable due to the fact that controls are very laggy especially if I press direction button on keyboard for more than 2-3 sec (I release the button but my character keeps moving for a few seconds more).
I have already tried to decrease graphic details, installed community patch, quest pack etc. - no improvement. In the net I have found post with similar issue. It said this was related to nvidia driver problem. This is not the case with me as I have Intel HD4000,however, my problem might be also related to graphic card incompatibility.

Has anyone had the same problem or knows what to do?

It may not be as much GPU incompatibility as actually GPU insufficiency. The Intel HD4000 is a rather low-end GPU and mainly used for desktop purposes and window drawing, not for gaming. On a gaming enabled laptop you would usually have a dedicated Nvidia/AMD GPU alongside it.

Gothic 3 is noticeably more demanding in graphics power than G1 and even G2 have been. You may be luckier in trying out those games instead. Should you, however, already have managed to play them with your on-board Intel HD and are determined to have a go at G3, this may be the time to invest in a cheap Nvidia GPU.
Judging by the Gothic 3 store page (which does not mention Intel as supported graphics option btw), virtually any card should do that you can still buy first-hand for a couple of bucks.
