I am playing as a pure mage class character in NOTR with spending all my lp on mana only and when my mana runs out I use mage wand to regen 20 mana anytime but with this strategy I can only use fireball and ice lance runes as an offence which are not useful in Valley of mines to clear out orcs.

So are there any way of getting unlimited supply of mana potion instead of resorting to sleeping in bed to refill mana every time.
Well, there are MANY mana potions in the game.
You can make them yourself, by learning from an alchemist, the few points you'd have to spend are worth it, in my opinion. Apart from that, you can find a lot of them by being thorough and checking every corner of the world, if that is something you enjoy.
Finally, and most importantly, you can buy potions from various traders. Some of them restock when you enter a new chapter and often offer more powerful potions along the way too.

All that being said, I actually agree that it can be difficult to have enough at times. I love the way of the mage too and have probably beaten the game as one more often than the other two ways combined. With about 300 to 400 mana the small potions don't restore that much percentage-wise anymore. I can only advise you to invest in other skills as well, even the most powerful mage can be a somewhat competent swordsman without spending a single learning point, using nothing but free bonuses. And if you're willing to invest a little bit, you can even become a master. It's useful for smaller enemies, when a fireball might be overkill, and magic resistant enemy types.
I just found a way to have 50 mana anytime.Just unequip rings, amulet and magic wand that give extra mana to your stat and then requip all those items but it can only get you 50 mana only but another lifesaver tip I found is that Samuel in pirate camp sells unlimited white rum which regen 10 mana and he also sells unlimited speed potion too.

So with these 2 method I can run and regen my mana in battlefield.
I just played and beat the game as a Mage. Never had a problem with mana potions, although yes, you will go through them like nobody's business. I'd run out of them occasionally and just visited a merchant and bought more. I also created a bunch of pure mana potions as well. Make sure to stock up on meadow knotweed and lab bottles when you can.

I actually messed up my character a lot, I think. Ended up with like 270 mana, which seemed low as I couldn't even use a Level 6 run like Shrink Monster. But at the end of the game I finished it with a couple dozen extra mana potions. There's tons of them and unique ways you can afford them, just have to get creative. Sell things, make gold and load up on them at a merchant when you can. They also respawn at merchants between chapters.

And yes, you have to manage your mana well. If you can kill a skeleton with Ice Lance instead of Lightning, do that. Don't waste higher level spells on weaker enemies, sleep in a bed when it's convenient and don't be afraid to summon creatures to help you. Also, scrolls give you the same spells at a highly discounted mana rate, so instead of Lightning costing 35 mana (or whatever) to cast, it will cost 5. There are tons of scrolls as well, so use them. It helps a lot.

Eventually, they can run out - merchants only stock so many. I learned the hard way that, when playing as a mage, do not try to wipe out the orcs or you WILL find that there are no more ways to both make and buy mana later. Now, I'm going out on a limb because it's been so long since I played and I have a terrible memory but, in at least one Gothic game (I,II,III), a mage can regenerate mana late game and I'm thinking it's II. Whichever one it was, being a mage became quite easy after that.

Interesting, because I knew multiple merchants near the end-game who had tons of potions. The guy in Khorinis marketplace had 80 mana essences, I think, and a bunch of others. And I was very dependent on those potions throughout the game. I can't imagine them ever running out, but I also supplemented here and there by making Pure Mana potions. However, Meadow Knotweed became a slight delicacy later, until I decided to sell a bunch of stuff I wasn't using to buy it whenever I encountered it. I ended the game with dozens of potions to spare and possible potions to still craft.

Oh, important to note, I did NOT do all content in the game. I left the original orc valley in the valley of mines a bit uncleared, and didn't get to the zone above the transport depot in the VoM or the orc area north of the Khorinis Pass. So I left a lot of critters alive. Please no spoilers, I'll do that next run. :)

This is going off memory, but I believe you can pay an alchemist in the Fire Mages' Monastery to brew 2nd-tier Mana Potions as long as you provide the ingredients. You don't need alchemy skills to have him do this, I believe.

Earlier on I abused the mana-boosting equipment exploit that Razz_Mage laid out to deal with most enemies. This is especially useful for summoning spells, since you can summon a bunch of creatures while still restoring your mana with this exploit, and then rush into combat with your posse. Later on I had enough mana-restoring items saved up that I didn't need to worry about it.

Also, remember that sleep restores your mana pool.

(Adding that I, playing as a mage, was quite a completionist and wiped out all, or nearly all, enemies in the entire game)
