The main menu of Gothic 3 states the version number as "1.74.14". Is this a typo? According to World of Gothic, the most recent version of the Community Patch is "1.75.14".

Edit: I downloaded and installed CP 1.75.14. and the version number shown on the main menu is now 1.75.14.

Sounds like GOG need to update the package they have hosted on the site then, assuming you didn't download it ages ago.

I downloaded it yesterday, GOG version 2.1.0.17. After your comment that GOG should offer the latest CP version, I had a quick look at the CP entries at World of Gothic.

You get the newest version of the CP at World of Gothic. Filesize is 1.5 GB, the installation itself is painless.
BUT: The savegames and the g3.ini are NOT compatible for CP 1.74 and 1.75.
And I would check the compatibility of my other G3 mods with CP 1.75 before upgrading the CP. For example, the developers of the Quest Pack say that they have made their latest version compatible with CP 1.75, but they add "don't expect too much".

For me, this means that GOG should probably continue to offer the current version, but could add the 1.75 upgrade as an additional file, or at least inform their G3 customers that CP 1.75 is available.
Reporting in (came to post about the same topic).
i've downloaded the CP version 1.75.14 and the installer reported that I had the 1.74 version. See the attached file.
Let's bump this so GOG updates the game!

EDIT: After reading your last post, Greywolf, I have to agree. They shouldn't bundle the update with the game, but offer it as an extra download (or at least have a sticky/reference/link to it). I don't use mods but many others do, so this approach would be wiser.
