Hi,

I've encountered an issue while playing Gothic. At one point I have saved the game and I received 'Out of Memory' error. When I loaded the game the area I've been had all npc's so I assumed everything is fine and saved the game on other backup save files T_T. When I went to other areas eg. Onar's Farm npcs were gone, checked other places and same thing.

When I start a new game everything works fine though.

I believe this is an issue with Dx11 since Gothic can only hold 2gb of memory and dx11 causes significant memory expansion.

I have:
latest system pack,
gothic 2 fix,
L'Hiver mod
d3d11

installed

I fear that the saves are completely corrupted but wondering if there is anything I can do apart from what I have already tried? -

-Reinstalled the game
-Started new game and tried to load old save (game crashes)
-Tried to go to the valley of the mines and back to Khorinis (game crashes when area is loading)
-Story helper won't talk to me for whatever reason
-Talk to npcs in the area where crash happened (all fine but other npcs won't load)

P.S. - I tried voodoo as well :P

Thanks in advance

Go here and install Spine:

https://clockwork-origins.com/spine/

Spine makes adding features and playing different mods easy as pie. Make sure you have the system pack to allow people to play Gothic on modern systems. I'd also recommend the 4GB patch.
Everything else is up to you.

Be aware that the D3D11 mod CAN cause save corruption. Doesn't mean it will, but it can. If you want to take the risk, make sure you're making multiple saves in different slots.
