I have installed Gothic 2 + NotR.
Now I would like to install the "Velaya" MOD.

A prerequisite is to install the so-called "Report-Version: Gothic2.exe 2.6.0.0". During the installation of the patch, I am requested to indicate the location folder of the game. However, when browsing the folders, the 'select' button remains grey even when browsing to the "C:\Programme\GOG.com\Gothic 2 Gold" folder where is installed the game. Typing the folder name manually doesn't help either because the "install" button remains grey.

Does anyone knows whether installing the "Velaya" MOD is possible and if yes, how to proceed ?

This patch expects the game file to be called Gothic2.exe, not Gothic.exe.

Go to the system folder in the main Gothic 2 Gold folder and rename Gothic.exe to Gothic2.exe. Point the installer to the main Gothic 2 Gold folder through either method and you should now be able to continue. Another option is to extract the installer with 7-Zip (free) or the like and copy its System folder into the Gothic 2 Gold main folder (confirming the folder merge).

Note that if you want your existing shortcuts to the game to work you'll need to rename Gothic2.exe and Gothic2.exe.manifest back to Gothic.exe and Gothic.exe.manifest, respectively.

If you have file extensions disabled just change the file name parts you can see; you don't need extensions visible to make any of these changes.

Anyway, hopefully these directions make sense. :)
