Sorry to bother you all if this is a common topic, just finished the first Gothic with no patches etc because it was a nightmare trying to figure them out, really enjoyed the game tho, want to give it a go setting them up on Gothic 2 before I play it, as the title says please give me some good instructions and advice! Really appreciated!

Honestly, it more or less works right out of the box. It's relatively bug free, supports up to 1080p natively, isn't locked to 25fps and has, if not great, at least functional mouse controls. The only issue I have with it is you have to go into the .ini to turn the blood spatter up to maximum, and disabling the intro ads for the dev and publisher is a little more involved than it needs to be, but those aren't exactly essential. Check this thread for details if needed.

So yeah, Gothic 2 should be good to go straight out of the box. Especially so if you got through vanilla Gothic without any problems.
