Is there a way to make this game work without the need to install win 95?
I already tried all the tips and fixes and non works.

Win 7 pro 64bit
Older games works without effort, but this series is a complete pile of crap.

Does anyone have a way to make it work or you simple ran out of luck if the other tips/fixes didn't help you?

I tried every suggestion out there to get Gothic 2 to run under Windows 7. Nothing has worked. I have contacted GOG, and was simply given the same instructions which I had already tried three times previously. When I asked about the GOG Money Back Guarantee, GOG never replied. So, I am stuck with a game that won't work, and a "money back guarantee" that means nothing.
I could make my Gothic 2 (retail version) run under Windows 7 64 bit, but it took some patches and configuration to do so. The problem is that this is a while ago and I dont remember what I have done to make it run. I just remember that it is possible to make it run, maybe someone else can help you or you try it yourself.
I had found an strange fix, but some other programs could interfere too.
As I bought here Two Worlds, and have an nVidia card, it needs the nVidia PhysX Legacy Software:
(forum don't let me post links yet, simple copy/paste and delete the spaces)
http: // www. nvidia. com /object/physx-9.12.1031-legacy-driver.html

The GoG.com version (if I'm not mistaken) includes all the other fixes/patches.

After installing the PhysX Legacy Gothic 2 run and plays normally. Of course, some other programs can and will interfere with Gothic if you open them. Still didn't found which one, but I'm playing it so far with no issues.
Well, if Pyranha or Nordic Games don't fix it from their side (source code) we only have workarounds and tons of frustration.
Gothic 2 was released in 2002. 2004 Ageia bought the Company behind the PhysX Engine and began producing the PhysX Cards.

I really doubt that Gothic 2 is relying on PhysX, especially because the Gothic 2 Engine was just the Gothic engine that was a little bit improved and this engine was definitely not using PhysX...

And now you discovered by yourself why I said strange fix.
I dont think that this is a fix at all. Maybe you did also something else that fixed your problem while you were doing what you described.
Yes, I was doing other thing, watching the program install. And then click on finish on the installer. Then open Two Worlds to see if it works correctly, which it did, and closed it without playing the game. As I saw this helped me to start this game and knowing more strange things happens by no reason, I started Gothic 2 and it did started.

So yes, I did something else, watch the program install and open/close other game.

Why you question something you didn't tried nor even need to try. It eludes me. Or you are here just to fail troll, or you simple can't believe other people don't lie like yourself.
I just said what I experienced which somehow helped on my issue. I think your problem is both.
