Whenever i start gothic it doesn't do anything yet when i see what processes are running it's there. Nothing visual, no flickering, nothing. I have Windows 7 64-bit, and an AMD Radeon HD 5770. If it's of any consolation it is installed on a flash drive. Any help would be appreciated :)

Have you tried installing it normally on that system to see if running from a flash drive is the cause of your problems?

OK, then the cause will be something else. :( Here are some possible solutions:

Install the full DirectX End-User Runtimes.

Install the Player Kit, which launches Gothic in a different way so may bypass the problem you're having.

Where do i install the DirectX End user runtimes?

Oh, right. Make a new folder somewhere convenient and have it extract there, then go into that folder and run the dxsetup you'll find inside. You can delete the folder and its contents after it's finished installing.
