LIke the title says, the npc's you fight in gothic and knock down get up instantly, leaving you no chance to loot them unless you kill them. I never had this issue before, I tried adding the gothic unofficial patch 1.0 on it's own then the ironkeep community patch v0.9.2 RC2, and also tried each one of the two on their own on new installs - the game is running in compatibility mode, on windows 7. The issue persists. Anyone know of a possible fix or work-around, since the issue is game breaking in several areas.

No other mods installed? Maybe remnants of previous installs in your registry? Maybe problems installing with UAC enabled or installed into Program Files? I have no clue.

Do you have the player kit and system kit installed? Not related to your problem, but here's a guide for improving graphics which might help in other ways:

No other mods installed. Bought and downloaded the gog version, ran it, no other issues. I just noticed that human opponents get up immediately after being knocked down. As such they can't be defeated in assorted quests. for example, arena opponents don't go down at all, they just pop back up and keep attacking unless killed.

It's the strangest thing. I found some word finally that the latest version of the iron keep community patch may have caused these bugs, only 2 posts of some users online somewhere. Both the freshly installed gog version as well as the patch has this bug and it's actually a game breaking mechanics issue.
